LEGAL GRAPHICS, DOCUMENTATION & PRESENTATION
I to produce non-partisan fact-based communication products that simplify complicated concepts and turn them into actionable items.
My experience working as a graphic designer on exhibits for a number of consultants, contractors and legal firms lead me to pursue a career as a paralegal. I specialize in: Intellectual Property; Land Use, Transportation, CEQA; and related issues.
I became involved in San Francisco politics working with a number of neighborhood groups on Land Use and Transportation issues. Our city issues were largely coming from Sacramento so we changed the focus to state laws. We successfully stopped or amended a number of bills seeking to override local jurisdiction over zoning and development strategies and are constantly watching stare control and corporate creep issues. This is a never-ending effort that involves watching local and state governments.
Fun with cartoons, illustrations, videos and animations.
DESIGNING FOR LIFESTYLE CHANGES
Livework art studios can be credibly flexible for people with changing careers and lifestyles as the illustration shows.
Artists and creative builders have been creating Livework spaces out of old abandoned structures for years. Repurposed warehouses, factories churches, farmhouses and jails have been turned into highly and sometimes valuable real estate. Different communities have handled these structures in different ways. Now that we have a housing shortage, we look forward to a lot more renovations and a lot more flexibility in the zoning and uses of properties that can serve as liveworks for the people who will choose to work at home.
I publish on a number of blogs to different audiences.
